NOW HIRING: E-Bike Mechanic for the 2025 Season! 🔧⚡
Island Time Adventures is seeking an experienced, customer-friendly bike mechanic to maintain our rental fleet and perform customer repairs for the 2025 season in beautiful Acadia National Park!
Position Details:
- Start Date: Early May 2025
- End Date: Late October 2025
- Hours: 40 hours per week, some flexibility available
- Location: Southwest Harbor shop location
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on our fleet of e-bikes
- NEW FOR 2025: Service and repair e-bikes for our customers who purchased bikes from us
- Conduct pre-season and post-ride inspections of all rental bikes
- Perform standard tune-ups, brake adjustments, drivetrain service, and general maintenance
- Manage parts inventory and order supplies as needed
- Ensure all bikes meet safety standards and are in optimal working condition
- Provide friendly, professional customer service when handling repair orders
- Maintain detailed service records
Job Requirements:
- Experience working with e-bikes featuring Bosch drive systems
- Familiarity with various brands including Gazelle, Cannondale, Specialized, and Cube
- Strong knowledge of standard bicycle components and repair procedures
- Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to explain service needs and procedures to customers
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift e-bikes (approximately 50-60 lbs) when necessary
About Us:
We provide guided e-bike tours on Acadia’s stunning Carriage Roads from the Hulls Cove Visitors Center and our location in Southwest Harbor. Our fleet consists primarily of Gazelle models, along with some Cannondale, Specialized, and Cube bikes. Starting in 2025, we’ll also be servicing customer-owned e-bikes purchased through our shop.
